Celebrating 30 Years of Cultivating Common Ground
At ARC&D we feel it is important to not only be engaged and helping in the very real, immediate aftermath of Hurricane Helene, but that it's also important to keep a long view perspective that a new day does dawn bringing fresh, new opportunities. We see ourselves as a bridge that our community can utilize to make that crossing. This event can be just that, cultivating common ground for many years to come. On Saturday, November 16, join us for “Cultivating Common Ground,” a special FREE open house event celebrating Appalachian RC&D’s 30th anniversary. We’re bringing the entire region together as one to support local agriculture, food access for all our local communities, and protect the natural beauty of Appalachia…and we invite you to celebrate with us! We are proud of our role over the last three decades to promote land conservation, sustainable agriculture and protect the agricultural lands, natural resource base and rural communities upon which the quality of life of Northeast Tennessee depends. We also look to the future as we inspire the next generation of individuals and respond innovatively to the needs of today’s rural communities. We will have LIVE music by Kris Truelsen and the Farm and Fun Time House Band, small bites featuring local food, cookies by Side Hustle Custom Cookies, and a special beer release from JCBC. Proudly sponsored by our partners: Brushy Fork Environmental Consulting, First Bank and Trust, TN Farm Bureau - Gray
Cultivating Common Ground is a free event, open to the public. You will notice a chance to donate in recognition of the 30 years of work we've done in the region and to support the next 30 years ahead of us.
Join us in giving $30 for 30 as we look to raise funds to carry our work into the future.
We deeply appreciate the support of our community over these past 30 years and will continue to bring together Northeast Tennessee to promote, protect and wisely utilize our history and cultural heritage, natural resources, and agricultural roots to enhance our local economies, food security, and quality of life. Thank you for joining us in this work!
