Ag in Art: Land Based Craft Workshop Series - Willows

The Ag In Art: Land Based Craft project seeks to strengthen the connections between land-based folk art practices and the land itself. Our goal is that these folk art practices be more deeply understood, recognized, and practiced and that small-scale farms in Appalachia can access new markets and incomes by producing the materials needed by folk art practitioners.

Join us for a 1-hour basket willow growing workshop to learn how and why this crop could be added into your farm business or backyard garden.

Basket Willow Growing Workshop: Saturday, March 15, 11:00AM-12:00PM

OR

Join us for a 2-day willow basket weaving class. Learn how to turn this natural and locally producible product in to a beautiful handmade basket. Tickets include the materials cost and students will leave with a handwoven willow basket as well as the tools necessary to continue basket weaving at home.
