Virtual workshops for farmers and local food vendors on boosting your customer engagement this season

You can boost sales and customer engagement this season! Attend any of these free, virtual workshops with local marketing experts, highlighting tips for food- and farm-based businesses based in northeast Tennessee. If you sell directly to the public and community and want to learn how to better market yourself then this is for you.

You can choose a ticket for 1 or more of the one-hour long workshops

Tickets are free, but the organization accepts donations so that we can continue to put on more workshops that help local food businesses. As you register you can choose to donate or not.

The Zoom links will be sent out closer to the workshop date.

Instagram 101 (Thurs. April 10 @ 9AM) with Valentina Escobar-Gonzalez, MBA, will be a basic overview in less than an hour of what everyone would need to successfully run an instagram business page and make it work for you. It will cover time saving tricks and using hashtags, stories, and other tips leaving you ready to tackle on this platform.

Instagram 202 (Wed April 16 @ Noon) with Valentina Escobar-Gonzalez, MBA, will dedicate more time in the strategy behind how instagram works and how you connect deeper with customers using content creation, whether it is for reels, videos, or carousels. If you already have an Instagram account you will get a lot of new tips and understanding out of this "part two" workshop.

Branding & Design Principles To Take With You Into the Field (Wed. April 23 @ Noon) with Tayler Dixon of the Appalachian RC&D Council, will _____

Setting up your Retail Booth for Success (Tues. April 29 @ 9AM) with Ashley Cavender of the Appalachian RC&D Council, joined by Steve Mallory of Hope Farms and Studio and Merle Stolzfus of Green Pasture Farm...and maybe a few others!

Valentina is a seasoned marketer, social media strategist, serial learner, speaker, and marketing educator living in the Tricities, TN. Specializing in helping individuals and their businesses build authentic connections with their social media to boost customer relations and create a strong, purposeful community online. She also deeply understands digital content, social media platforms, social listening practices, and digital marketing strategies, with over 10 years of experience in the world of social media. As a co-author of the book, “The Most Amazing Marketing Book Ever,” she collaborated with over 35 fellow marketers to give you their combined top strategies for 2023 and beyond. he has been featured in multiple podcasts available on her website and has won several prestigious awards throughout her marketing career

ASHLEY cavender is passionate about engaging and educating people from diverse backgrounds to grow and consume local healthy foods. She has worked with 12 or more farmers markets in the region. Prior to joining the arcd as the program director for nutrition and food access, Cavender was employed by Visit Johnson City as Director of Meet the Mountains Festival. Before that she served as the Volunteer and Development Coordinator for One Acre Cafe, a community cafe. Her passion for local food and farmers markets blossomed while attending ETSU where she became the ETSU Farmers Market manager. From there, she found her home in Jonesborough and served as the market manager for Jonesborough Locally Grown, and helped to open boone street market.
