Streambank Repair Workshop

Join us for a hands on streambank repair workshop. We will be at Dotson Farm along the Nolichuckey River to learn approaches to stabilizing and replanting streambanks with an emphasis on how to approach this after flooding like we saw during Hurricane Helene. While this is on a riverbank, the techniques and approaches used will be transferable to various shapes and sizes of stream and river bank repair work. We will go over the different supplies and materials needed, talk about where to find them, and then using those supplies we will demonstrate how to repair a riverbank using native plants. Please dress appropriately, work clothes, rubber boots and work gloves, ideally.
