Biochar Burn Day

Join ARC&D & Nolichucky Outdoor Recreation Association for a hands on biochar burn day using a Ring of Fire kiln.

What to wear: Please arrive in weather appropriate outdoor workwear (clothing that will not easily catch on fire) with sturdy shoes or boots. While gloves will be provided, volunteers are welcome to bring their own.

Snacks and drinks will be provided. Please bring your own lunch and a reusable water bottle🙂

What is biochar? Biochar is a natural soil amendment produced by charring wood under low oxygen conditions.
